Bupa Enterprise Agreement 2017

The 37-day industrial campaign by Bupa members in 2017, including rolling strikes, remains unprecedented in Australia`s aged care sector. The measures taken by nurses and nurses enabled Bupa to improve its offer of a 2.1% wage increase and not to change a one-year contract to 11.25% over three years, plus additional payment, improved fees and improved employment procedures. The ANMF uses nurses and midwives in the eba public sector as a reference agreement for their negotiations in all other workplaces. This is why salaries, allowances and many of the conditions are also stipulated in the agreement on nurses in the public service and in acute private nurses and midwifery conventions. The rules set out in the Fair Work Act only allow for an enterprise agreement to cover an employer. This restriction has often left nurses, midwives and nurses in smaller jobs, where members have less bargaining power due to lower numbers, lower wages and reduced conditions. The Bupa Australia Enterprise Agreement 2014 (the current agreement) has passed its nominal expiry date of March 24, 2014. As soon as an enterprise agreement expires, the terms of employment are maintained and the parties can negotiate to replace their agreement. Southern Cross Care (Tas) and Mary`s Grange Staff Enterprise Agreement 2017 Your Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) is one of the most important documents of your professional life. It is an agreement between the employer and the employee that exposes your wages, working conditions, career structures, allowances and rights. The EbA operates with the full force of the law. They are legally applicable and, if not followed by employers, the court may order significant sanctions against them.

In 1997, the ANMF negotiated the first Victorian nurse and midwife eBA. At the time of the pressure, the ANMF was negotiating the seventh public sector EBA. The agreement covers about 60,000 nurses and midwives. Their strength in terms of numbers and their ability to take important trade union measures, such as the closure of beds and the abolition of electoral operations, mean that in two decades they have achieved significant improvements in conditions, wages and workloads. The business negotiation process was initiated in the early 1990s by the Hawke/Keating Labor Government. It replaced the priority given to national wages and industrial bonuses, which helped to identify the wages and conditions of categories of workers. The purpose and intent of enterprise bargaining was to obtain higher wages and better terms than the bonuses granted.
