In November 2010, the EU and Egypt signed a protocol establishing a dispute settlement mechanism for the trade parties of the Association Agreement. Egypt has not yet ratified the protocol. In 2004, Egypt signed the Agadir Agreement with Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia. This agreement removes all tariffs between them and harmonizes their rules on product standards and customs regulations. Egypt joined the Regional Assembly in October 2013. In June 2013, the EU and Egypt began talks on a comprehensive and comprehensive free trade agreement. Negotiations on trade in services are currently frozen. The system was originally based on a network of free trade agreements with individual protocols of origin. In response to the events of 2011 throughout the Arab world, the EU has highlighted ways to develop and deepen our trade and investment relations with its partners in the southern Mediterranean: Egypt is one of the partners of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (Euromed). A future ACFTA would aim to improve market access and investment climate. It would also support Egypt`s economic reforms. The European Neighbourhood Policy provides political and financial support to Egypt. The EU and Egypt meet regularly to discuss issues and best practices in implementing the agreement. Committees meet regularly. The pan-Euro-Mediterranean system of origin brings together the EU, Egypt and other Mediterranean countries to support integration and create a common system of rules of origin.
